Hanselman Named Season's Final Player of the Week
Senior earns second POW honor on heals of Player of the Year Award
Lisa Hanselman picked up her second Player of the Week honor a day after being named the Conference Player of the Year
Aston, PA - Lisa Hanselman has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference's women's soccer player of the week for the week ending November 1. The senior forward, a day removed from being named the Conference's Player of the Year, picked up her second weekly honor of the season after having earned the Player of the Week award on September 27th as well.
Hanselman (Manheim, PA) registered her second hat-trick of the season as the Pacers downed visiting Keystone 8-0 to close out their CSAC season with a 9-0-1 conference record. With the win over the Giants, the Pacers improved to 13-2-1 overall on the year, extended their program-record unbeaten streak to 14 games and secured the top-seed in the upcoming playoffs.
One of three captains for the Pacers, Hanselman netted all three of her goals in a 20:07 timespan and now leads the team with 18 goals on the year. She has been nationally ranked in scoring offense as well, averaging 2.53 points per game and 1.20 goals per game. She leads the CSAC in goals, goals per game average, points and points per game average and is tied for the Conference lead with five game-winning goals.
Hanselman will look to lead the Pacers back to the CSAC Championship game with a win this Wednesday in the CSAC Semifinals. Marywood will host fourth-seeded Gwynedd-Mercy College, a 2-0 winner over Immaculata Monday, at 2:00 pm.
