5.10.2010 | Men's Tennis
Scranton, PA - Marywood University, the 2010 CSAC Men's Tennis Champions and automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament, will open the Division III National Championship against the University of Texas-Tyler on Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Pacers enter the match-up with a 15-3 overall record while the Patriots, winners of the American Southwest Conference, enter with a 14-6 overall mark. The two teams will meet at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with the winner advancing to face the University of Mary Washington on Friday. Live stats will be available for all the action.

Aston, PA - Six Marywood University men's tennis players have been named to three All-CSAC teams and freshman Todd Doran was named the Rookie of the Year a day after the Pacers captured their third conference championship in program history. Coming off a 5-2 win over Neumann University that has earned the program its first trip to the NCAA tournament, Evan Bolus, Greg Chilson, Todd Doran, Ethan Jones, Bao Nguyen, Wyatt Nolan and Daniel Pfafman have all been honored by the conference.

Springfield, PA - Marywood University rallied from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to win four of six singles matches and in the process captured the 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championship.  It is the third time the men's tennis team has captured the Conference Title but the first time the Pacers have earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.  Marywood improves to 15-3 and will await their seeding in the NCAA tournament while Neumann closes their 2010 campaign with a 9-10 overall record and CSAC runner-up finish.

Springfield, PA - Top-seed Marywood University cruised to a 5-0 win over fourth-seed Keystone College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis semifinal to set up a showdown with second-seed Neumann University Monday morning with the conference title and a trip to the NCAA tournament on the line.  Neumann advanced past three-seed Gwynedd-Mercy by an identical score.

Aston, PA – Three Marywood University student-athletes have been honored by the Colonial States Athletic Conference today for their athletic performances during the past week. Men’s lacrosse attackman William Roerden was named the CSAC Player of the Week, while softball designated player Kaitlyn Brennan and men’s tennis player Greg Chilson were named to their respective sports’ Player of the Week Honor Roll.

Scranton, PA - Marywood University's men's tennis team extended their winning streak to ten matches and in the process claimed the top seed in the upcoming Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs by finishing the regular season with an unblemished 7-0 mark thanks to a 8-1 win over Gwynedd-Mercy College Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood, who has not lost since March 5, improved to 13-3 overall and will take on fourth-seeded Keystone College in the CSAC semifinals next Sunday.

Aston, PA - Marywood University’s Evan Bolus was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for Men’s Tennis for the week ending April 18, 2010. Bolus earned a victory in the deciding match at 2-singles to give the Pacers a 5-4 win over Neumann Sunday.  In that match, Bolus earned a 6-3, 7-5 win over Neumann’s Greg Bridgeman.

4.18.10 | Men's Tennis
Scranton, PA - Evan Bolus and Ethan Jones earned two important singles wins after a key CSAC men's tennis match between league leaders Marywood University and Neumann University was moved indoors as the Pacers downed the Knights 5-4 Sunday afternoon.   With the Pacers leading 3-2, the match was moved from Marywood's campus to Birchwood's indoor courts in Clarks Summit due to several rain showers.

Scranton, PA - Marywood University cruised to their eighth straight win by virtue of their sixth consecutive shutout as the Pacers downed visiting Mt. St. Mary College 9-0 in men's tennis action Wednesday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood improved to 11-3 on the year and have not lost since at set-back to Ohio Northern University on March 5th in Orlando, Florida.  The Blue Knights fell to 3-5 with the loss.
