Ithaca, NY - Ithaca College scored two goals in the first five minutes, including one in the first 18-seconds of play, as the Bombers, ranked #28 in the latest NSCAA poll and #5 in the New York region, topped visiting Marywood University 4-0 Wednesday afternoon. Ithaca improved to 2-1 with the win while Marywood drops to 2-2.

Oneonta, NY - Siobhan Blancaflor and Kaitlyn Hresko each scored for the second time in as many days and head coach Andrew Smith earned his 100th career coaching victory as the Marywood University women's soccer team captured the 7th annual Erinn K. Brozman Cup with a 4-0 win over Utica College Sunday afternoon in Oneonta, New York. Marywood's win, coupled with a Hartwick 1-0 win over Delaware Valley College, means the Pacers take home the tournament hardware for the third time in four years. Marywood also won the Brozman Cup in 2007 and 2008.

Oneonta, NY – Junior Kaitlyn Hresko headed in a 40-yard cross off the foot of Lacey Habicht to cap a dramatic 2-1 overtime victory as Marywood rallied to top host Hartwick College Saturday afternoon at the Erinn K. Brozman Cup in Oneonta. Marywood’s Siobhan Blancaflor scored with just over ten minutes left in regulation on another Habicht assist to knot the game at 1-1 and Hresko’s overtime winner helped Marywood avenge a 3-2 overtime loss to the Hawks to open the 2009 season.

Oneonta, NY - The Hartwick College Sports Information Office has announced that live stats will be available for both days of the Erinn K. Brozman Cup this weekend at Hartwick College. Marywood's women's soccer team is slated to take on the host Hawks Saturday at 1:00 pm and then will face Utica College Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Edwardsville, PA - Wilkes University broke a scoreless tie with a penalty kick just over a minute into the second half and that lone score held as the final as the Colonels edged Marywood 1-0 in the first ever game played on the new turf at Ralston Athletic Complex in Edwardsville. Taryn Hallowell slotted Marywood keeper Meghan Coyle for the game's lone goal after Tashina Queen was taken down inside the box.

Aston, PA - Marywood University's Women's Soccer team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) coaches' poll. The 2009 CSAC conference runner-ups received 5 of the possible 11 first place votes to earn 114 points. Close behind with four first place votes is 2009 conference title holders, Cabrini College, who earned 108 points for a second place prediction. The Cavaliers earned the conference title by defeating the Pacers in a 1-0 victory at the 2009 CSAC Championships.

Scranton, PA – Marywood University has become official members of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), America’s largest sporting conference. Dr. Mary Jo Gunning, Director of Athletics and Recreation, made the announcement today. Marywood, members of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), becomes members of the nation's largest athletic conference and only multi-divisional conference, with approximately 300 member institutions ranging across 16 states from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.

Scranton, PA - Head Women's Soccer Coach Andrew Smith and Director of Athletics and Recreation Dr. Mary Jo Gunning have announced the hiring of Anthony (Tony) Roma as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. Roma begins his first season as Assistant Coach with Marywood University’s women’s soccer team in 2010 after serving a year as a volunteer coach with the men’s team. Roma played the final two years of his collegiate career in a Pacers’ uniform after a two-year stint at Broome Community College in New York.

Scranton, PA – Marywood University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Andrew Smith has recently announced the team’s captains for the upcoming 2010 season and has announced an 18-game slate for the 2010 season. Fellow senior Leslie Higham will join returning captains Andrea Barker and Meghan Coyle as the trio will attempt to lead the Pacers to the 2010 CSAC Championship and back to the NCAA tournament.

Scranton, PA – Marywood University senior Lisa Hanselman, the 2009 Colonial States Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, has been named Marywood’s Senior Student-Athlete of the Year as the Athletics & Recreation Department honored it’s student-athletes at their annual end of the year banquet Sunday afternoon on Marywood’s campus. Women's Basketball senior Erin Furlong was named the recipient of the Mary Beth Salmon Award for Dedication and Women's Lacrosse junior Alexis Willey was named the 2010 Pacers Club Humanitarian Award winner.

Indianapolis, IN – Three Marywood University student-athletes have been selected to attend the 2010 NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 11-14, 2010. Women’s soccer players Andrea Barker and Meghan Coyle, along with men’s lacrosse player George Downey IV, were among 408 student-athletes picked from all three divisions of the NCAA to attend this year’s conference.

Aston, PA – 66 Marywood University student-athletes have been named to the 2009 CSAC Fall All-Academic Team according to an announcement made today by the commissioner’s office, the most of the conference’s 12 institutions. All seven of Marywood’s fall sports teams placed at least five student-athletes on the squad which recognizes excellence on the field as well as in the classroom.
