Aston, PA - Forty six Marywood University winter and spring student-athletes have been honored as the Colonial States Athletic Conference announced the Spring 2010 All-Academic Team. “It is my pleasure to announce that 483 Colonial States Athletic Conference student-athletes have achieved the level of academic success necessary to be named to the Spring 2010 CSAC All-Academic Team,” said CSAC Commissioner, Amy Friedman. “These student-athletes have assumed leadership roles on their campuses by demonstrating that a complete education includes both academics and athletics.”

Scranton, PA - Six Marywood University players have been honored as the men's lacrosse team announced their year-end awards recently. Jesse Habich and George Downey IV were named the team's Co-MVP's with Downey also garnering Offensive Player of the Year accolades. Jimmy Drescher was recognized as the squad's Defensive Player of the Year while Gregory Nester captured the Top Rookie Award. Nick Stoud was recognized as the Pacers' Most Improved Player and Chris Vogel claimed the HWPO Award.

Scranton, PA – Third-seeded Gwynedd-Mercy College scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to earn a 9-7, come-from-behind victory over second-seeded Marywood University in the Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinals on Tuesday afternoon. With the win, the Griffins improve to 10-4 on the season and advance to the CSAC Final while the Pacers end their season with an 11-5 record.

5.3.10 | Men's Lacrosse

Aston, PA – Eight Marywood University men’s lacrosse players were honored by the Colonial States Athletic Conference today as the conference announced its year-end awards today.  George Downey IV, Jesse Habich, and William Roerden became the first Pacers ever to be named to the First Team All-Conference squad.  James Drescher and Nick Johnson were honored as Second Team All-Conference selections while Nick Parks and John Pelligrini garnered Honorable Mention laurels along with Downey, who was recognized as a specialty player.  Gregory Nester was named Marywood’s recipient of the CSAC Sportsmanship Award.

5.3.10 | Softball, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse
Aston, PA - The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the start times for three Marywood University playoff games this week.  The Men's and Women's Lacrosse teams both have semifinal playoff games with the men's game being played at Marywood while the Softball team will host a first-round playoff game Wednesday.  There is no admission fee for any of the events.

Scranton, PA – Cabrini College, currently ranked 11th nationally in the latest USILA Coaches’ Poll, built a decisive 7-1 lead after the first quarter of Thursday evening’s Colonial States Athletic Conference game at Marywood University and earned the top seed in the upcoming CSAC playoffs with a 15-8 victory over the Pacers. The Cavaliers improve to 12-3 overall with the win and finish the regular season with a 6-0 conference mark while the Pacers fall to 11-4 on the year and 5-1 in the CSAC.

Aston, PA – Three Marywood University student-athletes have been honored by the Colonial States Athletic Conference today for their athletic performances during the past week. Men’s lacrosse attackman William Roerden was named the CSAC Player of the Week, while softball designated player Kaitlyn Brennan and men’s tennis player Greg Chilson were named to their respective sports’ Player of the Week Honor Roll.

Hackettstown, NJ – Nick Parks scored with 3:49 to play in Saturday’s Colonial States Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse game at Centenary College and the goal stood as the game-winner as the Pacers pulled out a 9-7 victory over the Cyclones. With the win, Marywood establishes a new program record for wins in a season while improving to 11-3 overall and 5-0 in the CSAC. Centenary sees their record drop to 5-7 on the season and 1-4 in conference play.

4.21.10 | Men's Lacrosse
Selinsgrove, PA – Trailing by three goals early in the third quarter of Wednesday’s non-conference game at Susquehanna University, Marywood University scored the final nine goals of the game to pick up an 11-5 win over the Crusaders, securing their second-straight 10-win season. With the win the Pacers improve to 10-3 on the season while the Susquehanna falls to 6-7.
