Aston, PA – 65 Marywood University student-athletes have been named to the 2009 CSAC Fall All-Academic Team according to an announcement made today by the commissioner’s office, the most of the conference’s 12 institutions. All seven of Marywood’s fall sports teams placed at least five student-athletes on the squad which recognizes excellence on the field as well as in the classroom.

Scranton, PA – Post-season accolades continue to roll in for Marywood University women soccer players Andrea Barker and Lisa Hanselman as the duo became the first-ever Marywood players to be named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Scholar All-East Region Second Team. Barker and Hanselman were each recently named to the NSCAA’s All-Region team as soccer players, but today’s honors highlight both their athletic and academic success as student-athletes. The duo were the only CSAC players to be named to the First, Second or Third Team.

Scranton, PA - Marywood University standout women's soccer players Lisa Hanselman and Andrea Barker have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region team in an announcement made today by the NSCAA. Hanselman was named to the Mid-Atlantic's Second Team and was the highest honored CSAC player while Barker was named to the Third Team to become the first repeat honoree in program history.

Scranton, PA - For the fifth consecutive year, and sixth time overall, the Marywood University women's soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. The award is given annually to programs that achieve a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Marywood was the only CSAC soccer team, men's or women's, to earn the honor. The Pacers also earned the NSCAA Team Ethics Silver Award for the third consecutive year.

Immaculata, PA - Cabrini College's Annmarie Kolla scored on a breakaway 5:06 into the first overtime period and the second seed Cavaliers upset top-seed Marywood University for the CSAC Women's Soccer Championship Saturday afternoon at Immaculata's Draper Walsh Stadium. Cabrini improved to 14-5-1 and gained the CSAC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament while Marywood concludes their record setting campaign at 14-3-1.

Scranton, PA - Top-seeded Marywood University has advanced to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship for the second consecutive year and will take on second seed Cabrini College Saturday at 3:00 pm at Immaculata University's Draper Walsh Stadium as part of the CSAC Fall Championship Festival. The Pacers advanced to the title contest with a 2-1 win over #4 Gwynedd-Mercy College Wednesday while the Cavaliers got past #3 Centenary 3-1. At stake is the Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Soccer Championship Tournament. Admission price is $2. Scranton, PA - Marywood University scored two early goals and held of a furious second half rally from visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College as the top-seeded Pacers advanced to Saturday's Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship with a 2-1 win over the fifth-seeded Griffins Wednesday afternoon in Scranton. Marywood extended their program record unbeaten streak to 15 games and have equaled the program record for wins in a season with 14. The Pacers (14-2-1) advance to the title game for the second consecutive year while GMC ends their season at 10-10.

Aston, PA - Lisa Hanselman has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference's women's soccer player of the week for the week ending November 1. The senior forward, a day removed from being named the Conference's Player of the Year, picked up her second weekly honor of the season after having earned the Player of the Week award on September 27th as well.

Aston, PA - Senior Lisa Hanselman was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year, freshman Olivia Habicht earned Rookie of the Year honors and Head Coach Andrew Smith was named the Coach of the Year as the CSAC announced the recipients of end of year awards and First, Second and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams. In all, Marywood University placed 10 student-athletes in all on All-Conference teams, the highest total in program history.

Scranton, PA – Marywood University extended their program record unbeaten streak to 14 games as the Pacers closed out their regular season schedule with a 8-0 win over Keystone College Thursday evening in Scranton. The Pacers upped their overall record to 13-2-1 and 9-0-1 conference play and have clinched their second consecutive top seed in the upcoming CSAC playoffs. After starting the season 0-2, Marywood went 13-0-1 in their final 14 regular season games.

Immaculata, PA - Olivia Habicht scored unassisted in the 71st minute and Meghan Coyle made two saves as Marywood University blanked host Immaculata University 1-0 in CSAC Women's Soccer action Saturday afternoon. The Pacers, who stand in sole possession of first place with a 8-0-1 CSAC record, can wrap up the top seed for post season play with a win over Keystone College this Thursday. Marywood, who is 12-2-1 and on a 13-game unbeaten streak, can do no worse than second place and have assured themselves of a first-round bye. Immaculata fell to 8-6-3 (5-3-1 CSAC) with the loss.
